Film Blowing
Apr.30.2024
Blown film is another extrusion processes used to fabricate film products. Extrusion die is shaped as a circle and air pressure is used to further expand the film. After it is expanded to the desired dimensions it is cooled to solidify the polymer. Films are typically defined as less than 0.254 mm (10 mils) in thickness, although blown film can be produced as high as 0.5 mm (20 mils).
